Ravens fans won't love this Hollywood Brown free agency news revealed by the WR himself

The Baltimore Ravens could've used Hollywood Brown.

Instead, the former Chiefs WR signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency earlier this week.

That's not all, though. Brown apparently thought about returning to the Ravens.

“I was really considering going back to Baltimore,” Brown said on the Speakeasy podcast. “I got good relationships there. I really let my agent handle it until it got down to what it got down to. This is my second time in free agency, so I kinda don’t want the small talk. I let him deal with it. When it got down to who really wants me, who he thinks is really showing interest, then I want to talk and get involved.”

Brown was a first-round pick by the Ravens in 2019.

He had a solid 2025 season with the Chiefs. He played 16 games and had 49 catches for 587 yards and five touchdowns.

He only played two games in 2024, but in 2023, when he was healthy for the Cardinals, he had 574 yards on 51 catches.

He's not a No. 1 WR, but the Ravens have one of those right now, Zay Flowers.

What they could still use is another secondary pass catcher to take some of the pressure off of Rashod Bateman. Brown could've done that.

Instead, he goes to Philly, and Baltimore will have to keep looking for an addition.

The Ravens haven't signed any WRs in free agency, but maybe that's set to change. If not, the draft likely has a bunch of options for Baltimore to choose from.
