Ravens counting on Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter's Colorado Buffaloes teammate to help win AFC North

The most well-known rookie in the AFC North altogether, and certainly from Colorado, is Shedeur Sanders.

The most well-known rookie in the rest of the AFC is almost certainly Travis Hunter, another Colorado star.

But it's a different Buffaloes product who could play a key role in the AFC North title race.

The Baltimore Ravens used a sixth-round pick on LaJohntay Wester, Sanders' top receiver who wasn't named Hunter.

Wester is expected to return punts for Baltimore.

"Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta acknowledged this offseason that he didn't do a good enough job last year of addressing the return game," ESPN's Jamison Hensley writes. "That's why Baltimore invested a sixth-round pick on Colorado wide receiver LaJohntay Wester, who has the speed to become an impact returner. But if the rookie struggles, especially with ball security, Baltimore could turn to Tylan Wallace or look for a more experienced returner before the start of the season."

Wester spent his first four college seasons at Florida Atlantic before heading to Boulder.

In his college career, Wester returned 66 punts for 740 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also had 15 kick returns for 304 yards, mostly in his freshman season.

An 11.2 yards per punt return average is great. If Wester can bring explosiveness back there for the Ravens, it'd be a big boost.
