Kyle Lowry might've been too small.
That was the worry when the Memphis Grizzlies took him with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.
A whole 20 years later, Lowry is retiring as a legend.
He signed a one-day contract with the Toronto Raptors to retire with the team he led to an NBA title in 2019.

Listed at 6-feet even, and always a bit stockier than the point guards he played against, Lowry was a difference maker anyway.
He made the All-Star Game six times.
In a career spanning the Raptors, Rockets, Heat, Grizzlies and 76ers, Lowry played in 1,187 games and averaged 13.8 points and 6.0 assists.
With the Raptors specifically, Lowry averaged 17.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game across nine seasons of his prime.

Lowry also turned himself into the best shooter he had ever been while he was in Toronto, putting up a 37.7% mark from beyond the arc with the Raptors.
This past season, Lowry was mostly a mentor presence on the bench for the 76ers, getting into just 14 games.
Now 40 years old, the kid from Philadelphia has decided to finally move on to his next chapter.
He'd certainly make sense as a coach, if he wants to go that route.
But whatever Lowry does next, he'll always go down in history as a Raptors legend.
