Randy Orton has been away from WWE programming since October and is showing no signs of coming back. The Viper has been pictured on vacation with his family, and was recently seen promoting the Stamford-based promotion at Mr. Beast Land in Saudi Arabia.
However, with the Royal Rumble coming in a month's time, The Legend Killer could make his return to the company to kick off the new year. But, he might not be alone.
Upon his return, Orton could form a brand new faction with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits, who have also been missing since October. This way, he would instantly be given a new direction and could mentor the two to help them become an even more dominant unit on the blue brand. The Profits have been without a clear direction, and lost their most recent feud with The Wyatt Sicks over the WWE Tag Team Titles.
They could start a feud with the MFTs or another heel tag team, such as #DIY, upon their arrival, helping them regain momentum. Alternatively, Orton could also help them venture into a singles career, similar to what he did as part of Legacy with Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes.
However, this angle remains speculative for the time being, and it remains to be seen when the three WWE Superstars will return to television.
