Rams trade proposal lands $106 million 69.5 sack pass rusher to pair with Jared Verse

The Los Angeles Rams got confirmation from Matthew Stafford that he will be back for one more season. That's some massive news.

With Stafford back in the fold, the Rams will be in contention for a Super Bowl. But it also means the Rams are set to go all-in this offseason.

One way the Rams could go all-in this offseason is by making a big trade. Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox proposes the Rams make such a trade by acquiring a $106.5 million, 69.5 sack pass rusher from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Rams trade proposal lands 69.5 sack pass rusher from Raiders

"Rams Get: EDGE Maxx Crosby. Raiders Get: 2026 1st-round pick (No. 29 overall), 2027 1st-round pick, conditional 2027 5th-round pick," Knox proposes.

This trade idea from Knox would give the Rams an incredible pass rusher room, headlined by Maxx Crosby and Jared Verse. Along with Byron Young, the Rams would have put together one of the best pass rusher rooms in the NFL.

Sending two first-round picks for one player is a lot to give up. But, with the Rams needing more defensive help, and this proposal letting the Rams keep their 13th overall draft pick, they would still be able to take an elite prospect.

Adding Crosby might be a luxury addition, considering Verse and Young are good pass rushers. But, with Crosby under contract through 2029, and Young a free agent next year, this could be a long-term solution for the Rams as well.

Crosby, since coming into the NFL in 2019, has 69.5 sacks with 133 tackles for loss and 164 quarterback hits. He's a five-time Pro Bowler and a two-time second-team All-Pro.

Being able to add Crosby to the Rams' defense would be a very fun addition. This trade proposal from Knox isn't cheap, with two first-rounders and a future fifth-rounder not being a small amount to ship off.

But adding a player like Crosby, who's one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, would be a great addition to make. While the Rams don't desperately need a pass rusher, Crosby is worth splurging on, as he can be the difference in a Super Bowl run.
