Matthew Stafford is 37 years old and can't be the Rams quarterback forever.
To be fair to Stafford, he's probably got a few good years left.
Eventually, though, Los Angeles will need a replacement. The Rams can start planning now by making a trade for a youthful backup.
Bleacher Report wants the Rams to trade for Titans QB Will Levis. He's been a bit of a bust in Tennessee, and won't start in 2025 with presumed No. 1 pick Cam Ward coming to town.
That makes Levis expendable, but he can learn from Stafford and Sean McVay in L.A.
"Learning under Sean McVay and behind Matthew Stafford could help Levis reach his NFL potential," B/R writes. "McVay's spacing-based offense would allow him to operate as a 'see it, throw it' passer while learning to better read defenses, hone accuracy and make better decisions. The Rams, meanwhile, will need to find an heir to Stafford at some point. The 37-year-old will be back in 2025 after agreeing to an adjusted contract but isn't going to play forever."

Levis was the No. 33 overall pick in 2023 out of Kentucky.
He has started 21 games for the Titans, over which he has a 5-16 record.
Levis has thrown 21 touchdowns compared to 16 interceptions.
It's not a perfect solution as far as Stafford's heir goes, but it's also low-risk. And Levis still has the arm talent that made him the first pick of the second round two years ago.
It's a chance worth taking for the Rams.
