Puka Nacua is having one of the best starts to an NFL career any receiver has ever had. He's part of a Los Angeles Rams team that's contending year after year, and in year three, he's already a top receiver in the league.
The 24-year-old has played in three seasons, 44 total games, and four total playoff games in his NFL career. He's been one of the best in that time, and currently, is doing something hard to believe.
As NFL Researcher on Twitter/X shared, Nacua is currently the NFL record-holder for most receiving yards per game in the regular season and in the playoffs. These are two great feats on their own, and to have both at one time is insane.
Puka Nacua has case as NFL's best WR ever to begin a career
Nacua is averaging 95.3 receiving yards per game in the regular season and 108.3 yards per game in the playoffs. Both of those totals are the best marks in NFL history, with the lone caveat that a receiver has played a minimum of three games in the playoffs.
This season, Nacua had 1,715 receiving yards. If it weren't for Jaxon Smith-Njigba having more, Nacua's total, and overall 2025 season would be a lot more highly regarded.
But he averaged 107.2 yards per game this season, the most of any wide receiver this season. In the playoffs, he had 111 yards against the Carolina Panthers.
In his playoff debut in 2023, Nacua had a ridiculous 183 yards, and in 2024, across two games (one of which was a snowy matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles), Nacua had 141 yards.

What's so impressive about Nacua is that in his NFL career, his yards per game have increased every season. In his rookie year, he had 87.4 yards per game. That's impressive enough for any receiver, let alone a rookie drafted in the fifth round.
Then in 2024, despite an injury-shortened season, Nacua had 90 yards per game. And with a ridiculous 107.2 yards per game in 2025, his final total across three seasons comes to 95.3, the best mark in NFL history.
Through the first three years of his NFL career, Nacua holds the NFL record for most receiving yards per game in both the regular season and the playoffs.
Matthew Stafford has a strong connection with Nacua and has the young Rams wide receiver among the best receivers in NFL history through the first three years of his NFL career.
