Rams honor NBC reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw ahead of Giants game

The Los Angeles Rams will feature in Monday Night Football, but made a heartfelt statement before kickoff.

In the press box, the Rams honored NBC reporter Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marciniw, who were tragically killed in a deadly helicopter crash last week.

The team laid out two pictures frames featuring Moreno and Marciniw with white flowers and a sign.

“Forever part of the Los Angeles media family,” the sign read.

Moreno and Marciniw were covering a deadly bus crash in Chatsworth when their NewsChopper 4 crashed. A pedestrian on the ground also died.

Moreno went by “Eli in the Heli” on Instagram and aspired to be a news reporter since the age of 11. She had worked for Angel City Air Inc., the company operating the helicopter, since September 2010.

Marciniw was a graduate of Burbank High School and resided in the city before his passing. He had more than 30 years of flight experience and logged more than 14,000 hours of flight time.

Marciniw was nearing retirement before the crash.
