The Los Angeles Rams are coming off an NFC Championship loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and were facing some serious long-term questions about the franchise.
But Matthew Stafford announced he was coming back as he accepted the MVP award, and things instantly started looking up. A day later, and it's only getting better.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Rams are reportedly bringing in former Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury to join the staff in Los Angeles.
Rams to bring Kliff Kingsbury onto Sean McVay's staff
"Former Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury is joining the coaching staff of the Los Angeles Rams, per @PSchrags and me," Schefter announced.
This is some huge news for the Rams' offense for the 2026 season. After losing Mike LaFleur to the Arizona Cardinals' head coaching job, the Rams needed some more help on the offensive side of the ball.
While Nate Scheelhaase is staying with the team, Kingsbury's addition to the offensive coaching staff is a very exciting pairing with McVay and company.
Kingsbury has been a coach in the NFL for a while now, and the 46-year-old most recently was the Commanders' offensive coordinator.
But after a down season, they parted ways with the veteran coach. That left Kingsbury without a job and able to join whichever staff wanted him.

The Rams were interested, and now Kingsbury is joining McVay in Los Angeles. With Stafford's return the night before, the Rams' offense is trending in the right direction.
After a brief pit-stop with USC in 2023 after a mediocre Cardinals headcoaching tenure, he joined the Commanders for the last two years.
During his stint as the Commanders' OC, Kingsbury's offense was ranked 7th and 5th in yards and points scored during the 2024 season. But, after a down year, being ranked 22nd in both yards and points in 2025, the Commanders let him go.
He's now making his way back out West and is joining McVay's coaching staff for what might be the Rams' last chance to win the Super Bowl with Stafford at the helm.
This is a very fun addition for the Rams coaching staff, and combined with Stafford's return, which he announced while receiving the MVP award, it's an exciting time to be a Rams fan.
