Rams connected to surprising trade that would get Lamar Jackson another MVP award

The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a very successful season, but some still believe that this core is a bit too old, so that's something the front office will have to figure out.

On the offensive side of things, it's evident that the Rams are in a very good spot. With Matthew Stafford under center, two star wide receivers, and a great offensive mind as a head coach, Los Angeles is legit.

However, others believe that a trade of one of their top two receivers in Davante Adams, would make sense, including Mark Morales Smith of Sports Illustrated, who recently proposed a deal that would send him to Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.

The Rams would get a fourth-round pick in return.

“Trading a wide receiver entering a season in which he'll turn 34 years old doesn't need all that much of an explanation. If they have or plan on acquiring young receivers that they believe can produce at a similar level, there is no need to have a player in his mid-30s clogging up their depth chart.

"He is in his final season with the team either way, so it makes sense to get value for him if they can.”

The Rams have never been afraid to move on a year early rather than a year late. If they believe Adams is nearing the end of his run with the team, getting anything back instead of letting him walk is just smart business.

The one thing that worries me a bit here is the fact that the Rams have a legitimate chance to win a Super Bowl, so giving up Adams doesn't exactly help them get closer to that.
