Rams $44 million cut candidate could land with Bills, Patriots, Steelers

The Los Angeles Rams signed wide receiver Davante Adams to a two-year deal last offseason, but the team could look to move on from the veteran after just one season.

Fantasy Life's Ian Hartitz lists Adams as a potential offseason cut candidate. Los Angeles could save up to $18 million by moving on from the multiple-time Pro Bowler.

Though Adams is getting older, he had a fantastic debut campaign with Los Angeles in 2025, snagging a league-leading 14 receiving touchdowns, along with 789 receiving yards and 60 receptions.

Cutting Adams wouldn't make much sense for the Rams, but crazier things have happened. If the 33-year-old lands on the market, the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and Pittsburgh Steelers should have interest.

Buffalo must add a capable No. 1 receiver for quarterback Josh Allen, and Adams would fit that mold. The three-time All-Pro has all the tools to be a game-changer for the Bills and take the team's offense to new heights under Joe Brady.

New England and Pittsburgh already have solid No. 1 options in Stefon Diggs and DK Metcalf. However, acquiring Adams would give both franchises another dynamic pass-catcher with a ton of playoff experience.

The Steelers would make the most sense for Adams if he gets released by the Rams, especially because of his connection ot head coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is likely to return as Pittsburgh's starting signal-caller in 2026.

Adams will likely remain in Los Angeles this year, but if he does get let go, expect the Bills, Patriots, and Steelers to be all in on the future Hall of Famer.
