The Las Vegas Raiders have added a safety to the roster as training camp is set to kick off this week.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Raiders are signing safety Jamal Adams, who played under Pete Carroll with the Seattle Seahawks from 2020 to 2023.
"Breaking: 3x Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams is signing with the Raiders, per multiple sources," Schultz wrote.
"Reunited with Pete Carroll in Las Vegas, I’m told Adams is in excellent shape and the healthiest he’s been in years."
Adams has played in just 15 games over the last three seasons and hasn't played at a Pro Bowl-level since 2020.
However, the veteran defensive back can still provide some value as a depth piece and special teams contributor for the Raiders, who could use some depth in the safety room.
Adams spent the 2024 campaign with the Tennessee Titans and Detroit Lions. He started with the Titans, but then joined the Lions after asking to be released by Tennessee. The three-time All-Pro was also eventually cut by Detroit.
