The Las Vegas Raiders just added one of the most impressive available resumes from the free agent market.
Jamal Adams is coming to Vegas.
The Athletic's Tashan Reed reported the signing on Tuesday afternoon.
Adams is a three-time Pro Bowler and the former No. 6 overall pick of the 2017 draft by the Jets.
He's one of the best play-making safeties of his generation.
Adams most recently played five games total in 2024, split between the Titans and Lions.
Injuries have slowed Adams. He played nine games in 2023 and just one in 2022.
In his eight-year NFL career (Seahawks, Jets, Titans, Lions), Adams has played in 85 games and recorded 501 tackles, 21.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, 36 passes defensed and four interceptions.
He's a low-risk, high-reward pickup for the Raiders at this point.
If injuries have slowed the 29-year old safety too much, it hardly cost them to bring him in and find out.
And if Adams still has some of his old juice left, he can be a great asset to Vegas' aspirations of contending in the AFC West.
