When the Las Vegas Raiders shutdown superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby for the final two games of the regular season despite his insistence he wasn’t injured, many believed a wedge was formed between the two sides.
Crosby later took some subtle shots at the Raiders on social media, posting videos of himself jumping and playing basketball — a sign that the knee the Raiders told their fans Crosby had injured, was in fact, fine.
Ever since that decision, many have speculated that Crosby, a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time second-team All-Pro, doesn’t want to play in Vegas in 2026.
While it’s not known if the Raiders will actually part with the 28-year-old pass-rusher, it’s now known what kind of trade package it would take to pry Crosby away from the Raiders thanks to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.
“Crosby remains under contract, but there’s a strong sense in league circles that he could be there for the taking, despite the Raiders likely demanding a high price (think a Micah Parsons-like package),” Russini reported. “Las Vegas is not expected to try to make Crosby stay if he truly wants out.”
Parsons fetched two first-round picks and Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark from the Green Bay Packers in a blockbuster deal that went down right before the start of the regular season.

Dallas then flipped one of those first-round picks plus a second-rounder and former first-round defensive tackle Mazi Smith to the New York Jets for Pro Bowl defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.
It makes sense why the Raiders would want a similar return for a player of Crosby’s caliber.
The Eastern Michigan alum totaled 73 tackles, 53 pressures, 31 hurries, 12 QB hits, 10 sacks, six passes defensed, and two forced fumbles this season, per Pro Football Focus. Crosby has logged eight or more sacks and 50 or more pressures in five of his seven NFL seasons.
Like Parsons’ addition in Green Bay, Crosby is the type of pass-rushing juggernaut that can turn a good defense into a championship-caliber one.
