And then there were three: the Las Vegas Raiders are one of three teams that has yet to hire a new head coach, along with the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns.
Based on who the Raiders have brought in for second head-coach interviews, two finalists for the job appear to be Denver Broncos passing-game coordinator Davis Webb and Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero.
Las Vegas also had second interviews with Brian Daboll and Joe Brady, but Daboll has reportedly taken the Tennessee Titans' offensive coordinator job while Brady is being promoted to head coach of the Buffalo Bills, so they are no longer options.
Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is still floating around out there, although he has yet to be brought in for a second interview.
When it's all said and done, Chris Rosvoglou of The Spun predicts the Raiders will hire Kubiak as their next head coach.
Kubiak led an offense that was ranked eighth in total yards this year. Not only did he establish an efficient rushing attack, he got Sam Darnold to play some of the best football of his career. If the Raiders pair Kubiak’s scheme with the potential of Fernando Mendoza, they might finally get out of the basement in the AFC West.
SNY's Connor Hughes reported that Kubiak is considered the front-runner for the Raiders job, so this prediction could very well come to fruition.
A three-time offensive coordinator who also called plays for the Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans, Kubiak had a ton of success as Seattle's play-caller in 2025.
The Seahawks complemented their elite defense with an offense that ranked eighth in total yards per game, third in points, 10th in rushing yards and eighth in passing yards.
After seeing the kind of success Sam Darnold had under Kubiak, he would be just what the doctor ordered for a Raiders team that will likely have a rookie quarterback in Fernando Mendoza under center in 2026.
Kubiak should also be intrigued with an offensive foundation in Las Vegas that includes tight end in Brock Bowers and running back Ashton Jeanty.
Las Vegas also sport a ton of cap space, so the team can build up the roster around those three rather quickly.
Because Kubiak is still in the playoffs, the Raiders can't hire him until after the Super Bowl, per NFL rules. However, he's well worth the wait.
