Raiders' Maxx Crosby just got a reminder of how the NFL sees him

1 hour ago 3

Maxx Crosby is back with the Las Vegas Raiders and ready to make some noise. It's been quite an offseason for the defensive end. He, of course, was traded to the Baltimore Ravens only to fail his physical and end up right back where he started.

But, maybe it was meant to be. Crosby has made a point to re-emphasize that he's a Raider for life. Of course, a trade could still happen, especially as the season goes on, but for now, Crosby is in Vegas.

At age 28, Crosby is really in his prime. Even though he failed that Ravens physical, it doesn't mean he's not at the top of his game. That's the message the NFL is sending in the league's list of the top 100 NFL players for 2026.

Las Vegas Raiders' Maxx Crosby Has Strong Showing in NFL Ranking

In the piece, Crosby is No. 25. That's down two spots from last year, but still a great showing.

"After a whirlwind offseason in which Crosby was still a Raider despite trade rumors, then briefly a Raven but not really, and then a Raider again, the pass rusher is back where he started: in Las Vegas and the top 25 of the Top 100," the league says of Crosby.

One stat that really stands out in their NFL Pro Insight point is Crosby recording "58 tackles in the run game that resulted in a negative play for the offense (i.e., run stops), tied for the most among defensive linemen with Cameron Heyward and Jordan Davis."

So, Crosby is still on top. He's going to make it a mission to prove to the Ravens that they messed this up.
