Maxx Crosby ended the season unhappy with the Las Vegas Raiders after he was shut down while the Raiders chased the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Now, Crosby enters an offseason in which trade rumors will likely surround him with great frequency.
Crosby isn't shying away from that.
He made a new post on X on Monday morning that will only have fans wondering more about his future:

"Ships that wait for perfect winds never sail." There is no particular one person who originally said that, but it's a bit of a proverb.
It could actually be taken on both sides of trade possibilities for Crosby.
He could be saying that he has to try to set sail in Vegas even if the winds aren't perfect.
Or he could be referring to having to be ready to take a new journey even if there's some uncertainty involved.

Either way, it could have big consequences across the NFL.
The Raiders just got a new head coach, Klint Kubiak, and are looking at likely drafting QB Fernando Mendoza with that first pick. Crosby could want to stick around for the fresh beginnings.
If he's traded, though, a bidding war will commence and he'll change the balance of power somewhere in the NFL.
We'll have to see if Crosby has any more inspirational quotes to share to give us an idea of what he's up to.
