Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty didn't have the rookie season he or the Raiders would have wanted.
Granted, it wasn't all on him as the Raiders' offensive line wasn't very good, but Jeanty still rushed for 975 yards and 5 TDs, so stats-wise, it wasn't too bad.
But now Klint Kubiak is taking over as head coach and the play-caller, and he has a clear vision for Ashton in 2026, and it is one that Raiders fans might like.
Kubiak wants Ashton to do it all in 2026.
"We want to put a lot of pressure on Ashton," Kubiak said via ESPN. "... I don't know the play snap percentage, but you look at Christian McCaffrey, his play snap percentage is high. So, those great backs, they don't want to come off the field."

Can Jeanty be "the" guy?
Well, one thing is for sure under Kubiak -- we're going to find out.
Having Jeanty as a Christian McCaffery-like back is certainly a high bar. Ashton played 771 snaps (78 percent) last season, and McCaffrey? 932 as both a runner and receiver.
So that is what Kubiak wants Jeanty to be like, and that is a tall order, but there's no denying that Ashton can be the type of back Christian is, just not to the All-Pro level of McCaffrey.
The plan is clear for Ashton in Year 2, and Kubiak is ready to put as much on the running back's plate as he can handle.
