Raiders' Kirk Cousins makes stunning Brock Bowers comments

New Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins has said all the right things since joining the AFC West franchise.

Coming from the Atlanta Falcons, Cousins is ready to play whatever role the Raiders want him to.

Whether that is as a mentor to Fernando Mendoza, the player Las Vegas is expected to take at No. 1 overall in the draft, or as the starter for Klint Kubiak

And if he's the starter, he'll have some weapons at his disposal, like tight end Brock Bowers, whom Cousins thinks might just be the best in football.

"Yeah, I think he may be the best tight end in football," Cousins said via the team website's Levi Edwards. "Hopefully, we can make that a reality this fall. Gotta keep him healthy, just like some of the other great players on this team.

"I've always really enjoyed playing with talented tight ends because of the curveball that it throws at defenses. I expect Brock to be as good of a curveball as I've ever played with. Can't wait to see how we can use him and to get on the grass with him. Even routes on air, I think it's going to be exciting to see a guy like that go to work."

Is Bowers best TE in football?

Well, it is certainly a discussion.

In his two seasons, Bowers is already an All-Pro and Pro Bowler, totaling 1,874 yards and 12 TDs, so the production is there.

After playing 17 games in 2024, Bowers managed just 12 in 2025 due to injuries.

Still, we know that at full health, Bowers could be one of the best tight ends in football, and if Cousins is throwing him the ball, well, we saw what Kyle Pitts did last year.

So, Bowers has the NFL world at his feet, and if he stays healthy in 2026, there is every chance that at some point this upcoming season, many will see him as the best tight end in football.
