The Las Vegas Raiders could be incredibly active at the November 4 trade deadline, as the team sits at 2-5 and should start thinking about retooling its roster for the future.
There are a few Raiders' players who could be traded at the deadline, including wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. The 28-year-old is in the final year of his deal, and contract negotiations with Las Vegas haven't gone well.
Meyers requested a trade from the Raiders in August, and it looks like that sentiment hasn't changed.
During a media appearance on Tuesday, Meyers openly stated that he wants to be traded. Meyers did add that it's out of his control, but there's no denying that the veteran receiver wants to leave Las Vegas as soon as possible.
"I got no control over that [a trade]. If I'm here, I'm here," Meyers said via Ryan McFadden of ESPN.
McFadden added in his tweet that he asked Meyers if he still wants to be traded. Here was Meyers' response:
"Oh, for sure. But I'm a professional at the end of the day. I'm just trying to play good football."
Meyers publicly admitting that he no longer wants to be with the team is an awful look and will undoubtedly be a locker room distraction. The former undrafted free agent is a veteran leader for Pete Carroll's squad, especially for the young wide receiver room.
It's clear that Meyers' days with the Raiders are numbered, as general manager John Spytek can't keep him on the roster for much longer. The savvy pass-catcher out of NC State should net Las Vegas a solid return on the open market, as many contenders around the league would love to have a consistently productive receiver like Meyers.
In six games in 2025, Meyers has tallied 29 receptions for 329 yards. The former Patriot posted a career year in 2023 with 87 receptions and 1,027 yards, along with four touchdowns.
Meyers likely won't be in Las Vegas for much longer, so it'll be interesting to see where he lands as the November 4 deadline nears.
