The quadruple amputee former cornhole champion accused of murdering a friend during an argument earlier this month is apparently making a go of it in prison without any special accommodations.
Dayton Webber, 27, who is locked up in Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail in Virginia on murder charges, has had no difficulties acclimating to the daily prison routine, including feeding, bathing and dressing himself, according to TMZ.
Jail superintendent Martin Kumer told the outlet he’s been a model inmate, not causing trouble and cooperating with jail staff, and has been whiling away the hours behind bars watching TV.
Kumer said Webber has a semi-functional appendage at the end of one of his limbs, which he uses to grasp implements needed to feed himself and keep himself clean.
It’s likely the same appendage he was seen using in a series of videos showing him wielding various firearms.
He’s awaiting extradition back to Maryland, where authorities say he shot and killed pal Bradrick Michael Wells, 27, who was riding in the passenger seat of his car March 22.
According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, Dayton later dumped the body in the front yard of a home in Charlottesville, where he was later arrested while at a local hospital seeking treatment for an unspecified medical issue.
Despite losing all four limbs to an aggressive bacterial infection as an infant, Dayton lived an active life from an early age, competing in wrestling, youth football and motocross.
He would later discover a love for the American lawn game cornhole, skillfully rising through the ranks and earning the title of best player in Maryland.
