With energy shipments currently being choked off at the Strait of Hormuz, Qatar, one of the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) suppliers, faces an uncertain future. If the disruption in the Gulf continues, investments in Western Canada LNG projects could become increasingly attractive to both buyers and governments.
