Rich Harris Courtesy Prescription Songs
Nashville-based producer, songwriter and engineer Rich Harris has signed a publishing deal with Prescription Songs. The signing is an alliance between Prescription and Pray For My Haters (PFMH), the boutique music publishing, recorded music and apparel company founded by producer and songwriter Tony Esterly and manager Dave Hopper.
Harris has worked with artists including SZA, DJ Khaled and Sexyy Red.
“This is the dream team!” Harris said in a statement. “I’m very grateful to be working with a group of people that so personally understands my work and operates with such intention. Everyone on this crew has already been pushing hard for me and I couldn’t be more excited to have made this official.”
Prescription Songs A&Rs Chris Martingago and Sophia Battaglia led the signing, with Martingago saying, “Rich and I originally connected through an online community during the pandemic via Tony Esterly, and it’s been a really cool full-circle moment to now be partnering with him on this signing. We’re excited to be part of the next phase of Rich’s career, and for people to hear his skills in the room across every release.”
Battaglia said, “Rich has a rare versatility that allows him to bring any creative vision to life, paired with an exceptional ear for distinctive production that helps every record stand apart. I couldn’t be more excited to officially welcome him to the team!”
PFMH added in a statement, “Rich exemplifies everything we look for in a PFMH signing: depth, versatility, creativity, crazy (or complete lack of) hair, technical skill and the relentless drive to keep leveling up. As quality of a human as he is a producer/songwriter, we’re proud to partner with Rx and help Rich reach what’s next.”

Mushroom Music Publishing Extends Partnerships
Australian-based company Mushroom Music Publishing has extended its partnerships with Amy Shark, Jack Johnson, Julia Jacklin, Lorenzo Sillitto and The Temper Trap.

V8 Splash (Prescription Songs)
V8 Splash, who’s had recent collaborations with Tay Money, Big Mo, K Carbon and more, has signed a publishing agreement with Prescription Songs. The Memphis-born and Nashville-based producer, songwriter and mixer said in a statement, “Joining the Prescription Songs family is a huge moment for me. I’ve always been focused on building my own sound, and seeing the diverse roster of creators they’ve built made it clear this was the right home. I’m grateful for their belief in me and the work I’ve put in to get here. I’m ready to keep working, keep growing, and bring the Memphis sound and culture that shaped me to a bigger stage.”
Prescription Songs A&R Kelly White led the signing. “I’m so proud to welcome V8 to the Prescription Songs family,” White said in a statement. “His sound is deeply rooted in Memphis while bringing something fresh and unique to Nashville’s creative community.
