PSG plot Ligue 1 star swoop amid Real Madrid rivalry

For years, PSG were known for spending big on football's biggest names. That era is over since Luis Enrique took charge in 2023.

Working closely with sporting advisor Luis Campos, the focus has been sharp and deliberate, and that is to say their interest has lain in signing the world’s most promising young players.

Les Parisiens won the Champions League title in 2025 with a squad averaging just 24 years of age- testament to the fact that the shift is paying off.

Paris signed Joao Neves, Desire Doue, and Bradley Barcola while they were still in their teens or early twenties. Nuno Mendes was already a starter at 21.

This summer, the club is deep in talks to sign Bournemouth’s Illya Zabarnyi, a 22-year-old center-back who has quietly attracted attention from several of Europe’s elite clubs.

With that deal still progressing, PSG are now turning their attention back to France in search of their next young gem.

According to Don Balon (Via DAILY MERCATO), Paris are now targeting Ayyoub Bouaddi, a 17-year-old midfield prodigy from LOSC Lille who is valued at €28m [$33m].

Real Madrid, who have been tracking the players for sometime are also making a push to sign the star.
