Oliver Hudson Calls Out Mom Goldie Hawn for Ignoring Texts
Goldie Hawn has another rising star on her hands.
The actress joined her family on the red carpet in New York City to celebrate her son Oliver Hudson’s role in Happy Gilmore 2—but it was her 12-year-old granddaughter who stole the show.
Indeed, Oliver and wife Erinn Bartlett’s daughter Rio was her grandmother’s mini-me during the July 21 outing. The preteen was all smiles as she rocked a yellow boho style dress reminiscent of Goldie’s blue pattern boho dress she wore for the event.
Together, the duo flashed smiles and cuddled close as they posed alongside Oliver, Erinn and their two sons Wilder, 17, and Bodhi, 14.
But Rio’s red carpet appearance isn’t the only proof she’s ready to showcase her presence. In fact, Rio is ready to follow in the footsteps of her famous family—which also includes aunt Kate Hudson.
“She wants it,” Oliver told Access Hollywood.“She’s an amazing dancer. It’s in her genes. But we’re gonna do plays first.”
As for Goldie, Rio’s determination echoes Kate’s willingness to start her career.
“I don’t think we have a choice frankly,” Goldie, 79, told the outlet during her and Oliver's joint interview. “Same with Kate. I didn’t have a choice, and I think this one, we don't have a choice.”
“All I want her to be is happy,” the Overboard star added. “I don’t care about anything else.”

And as for Rio, she was born for this moment.
“I love being around people,” Rio told Access. “They all grew up acting I would say, and like we have a strong connection.”
And Oliver hasn’t been shy when showing off his daughter’s talent. Earlier this month, he shared a clip of Rio doing an impromptu interpretive dance as he playfully sang Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.”
Making a joke about a future tour, Oliver hilariously captioned the July 12 Instagram post, “We’re taking this show on the road! Cities and dates to come!!”
