Prince William refuses to be seen near troublesome uncle Prince Andrew: ‘Unsolvable problem’

Prince William sees his scandal-scarred uncle, Prince Andrew, as an “unsolvable problem” for the British monarchy, according to a royal commentator.

The disgraced Duke of York, 65, was back in the headlines this week following the tragic death of his accuser Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide on April 25 at age 41.

After a slew of negative stories attached to Andrew, the Prince of Wales is getting increasingly frustrated with the negative attention the royal family is getting as a result.

According to royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths, the future king refuses to “be seen anywhere near his uncle” as “issues resurface with alarming regularity.”

“Andrew popped up at the Easter service,” Griffiths told GB News. “Prince William was notably absent, because William won’t be seen anywhere near his uncle. He knows that Andrew is an unsolvable problem, and his issues resurface with alarming regularity.”

“It’s a problem that simply won’t go away,” she said, noting that Giuffre’s death thrust Andrew’s name back into the spotlight.

“Given that Andrew wasn’t even allowed to attend the Sandringham Christmas service, I found it very surprising that he thought he could show up at Easter,” she went on.

“What happens is that, every now and then, Andrew gets it into his head that he can find a way back, even though the signals are very, very clear that he can’t.”

The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.

It comes as the lawyer who represented Giuffre in her sex assault lawsuit against Andrew called on the royal to “say sorry and come clean” in the wake of her suicide.

Attorney David Boies said Andrew, who was accused of having sex with Giuffre when she was a teen and trafficked by late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, finally needed to “take responsibility for what he did.”

“I think she would have accepted Prince Andrew taking responsibility,” Boies told “Piers Morgan Uncensored” Monday. “I’d like to have him say he’s sorry, even if he doesn’t remember what happened.”

“I think he needs to recognize that he had, clearly, had sex with young girls with Jeffery Epstein,” he added.

Boise, who represented Giuffre during her lawsuit against Prince Andrew in 2022, said the settlement that was reached was only a starting point, and that his client had always hoped for a formal apology from Andrew.

Giuffre was found dead inside her home last Friday — just weeks after claiming she had “days to live” sustaining an injury in a March 24 collision with a school bus. The allegations were disputed by the bus driver and police.

Giuffre later claimed she suffered years of physical abuse by her husband, Robert Giuffre. The pair split recently after 22 years of marriage.
