Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Share Rare Family Update During First Joint Interview in 3 Years
Prince Harry has an inkling on where he'd like his first tattoo to be.
The Duke of Sussex joked to Jelly Roll —who is tatted head to toe—that should he ever start a body art collection, the inaugural design would probably be somewhere on his backside so "no one is going to see it."
But unfortunately for Harry, the country music star opted to go for the neck when he recently gave the Spare author a faux tattoo in a comedy skit promoting the upcoming Invictus Games .
"Do you know I could not believe it when they called me and told me Prince Harry wanted to get a tattoo today?" Jelly Roll (born Jason DeFord ) quipped in a Nov. 19 video . "They wanted me to give him his first tattoo? This is the coolest thing ever!"
He continued, "We're giving you a tattoo about the Invictus Games."
However, Harry noted that he was actually meeting the "Need a Favor" singer to ask if he could perform at the Invictus Games, not get a tattoo of the sporting event he cofounded in 2014.
"I'll play the Invictus Games, you just let me give you your first tattoo," Jelly Roll negotiated, prompting Harry to joke back, "Alright, screw it, let's go."
Harry added, "I was thinking the lower back or on my ass."
But Jelly Roll wasn't satisfied with the proposed location. As he said with a laugh, "Nobody wants to see your ass, Harry!"

And when he started inking Harry's neck, the British royal quipped, "Yeah, I should've had it on my ass."
In the end, Harry got a temporary design of the Invictus Games' "I Am" logo—along with an additional surprise.
"Is that your name? Does that say Jelly Roll? You put your name on my neck?" Harry asked, with Jelly Roll joking that he went big with the font because the "Invictus Games are enormous."
Harry added, "Oh, s--t!"
The 2025 Invictus Games will be held in Vancouver, Canada , where Harry and his wife Meghan Markle briefly resided before stepping back from their duties as senior royals in 2020 .
"As Invictus continues to adapt and evolve, I am extremely excited to announce that the Invictus Games Foundation has selected Canada to host the first-ever Winter Hybrid Games in 2025," Harry—who shares kids Archie Harrison , 5, and Lilibet "Lili" Diana , 3, with the Duchess of Sussex—shared in a previous statement. "With deep respect, I'm also pleased to share that the Games in Canada will be held in partnership with the First Nations, in the spirit of truth and reconciliation with indigenous communities."
