The WBSC Premier12 tournament begins on Saturday, with the 12 highest-ranked baseball national teams in the world squaring off on a global stage.
Team USA vies for its second medal in the third iteration of the tournament. The Americans finished as the runners-up in the inaugural competition in 2015, and finished in fourth place in 2019.
Longtime MLB manager Mike Scioscia will lead a roster headlined by top-ranked prospects Carson Williams (Rays), Matt Shaw (Cubs), and Justin Crawford (Phillies), as well as MLB veteran and ageless wonder, 44-year-old Rich Hill.

The Premier12 tournament will not air on national TV. Instead, viewers can stream the action exclusively on DAZN.
Premier12 baseball schedule, scores 2024
Twelve teams are divided into two groups — Group A and Group B — and will compete in a round-robin format in the opening round. Group A games will take place in Mexico, while Group B will be split between Japan and Chinese Taipei.
From there, the top two nations from each six-team group will advance to the Super Round in Tokyo, with the championship and third-place game to follow.
