Liverpool are yet to bring in any new faces during the January transfer window but Arne Slot is rumoured to be planning at least one big move before the end of the month.
The Reds have seen their title lead cut at the start of 2025, with rivals Arsenal now just four points behind, but with Slot's charges still holding a game in hand over the Gunners.
However, with a busy few months on the horizon - as Liverpool battle across four fronts - Slot is looking to plan for both the short and long-term at Anfield.

The ongoing contract uncertainty over Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk continues to loom large over the club, with the trio no closer to agreeing extensions on their expiring contracts.
Alongside of the potential of having to replace one or all of those star names, Slot is also looking further down the line, at a fresh face at left-back.
Andy Robertson has endured a mixed campaign, and despite years of impressive service under Jurgen Klopp, the Scottish international out of contract in 2026.
Slot also does not appear convinced by Kostas Tsimikas and a move for Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez could be on the cards in the coming weeks.
Milos Kerkez's Bournemouth contact, transfer fee, stats
Kerkez joined Andoni Iraola's side from AZ Alkmaar ahead of the 2023/24 season with the Hungarian international signing a contact until 2028.
Liverpool are open minded over their approach - and could wait until the summer if Bournemouth resist this month - but Slot is reportedly ready to bring the 21-year-old straight into his plans.
As per reports from The Independent, Liverpool have crucially beaten off competition from arch-rivals Manchester United, with Kerkez prepared to wait if needed to clinch a move to Merseyside.
Bournemouth would be looking to make a profit on their original outlay and they could quote Liverpool in the region of £24 ($30m) as part of rumoured negotiations.
Liverpool fans will have been impressed with what they have seen from Kerkez in his first 18 months in the EPL with three assists already registered this season.
Kerkez has also caught the eye with comparisons to Robertson's lung-busting style and ability to fire crosses into the opposition penalty area. With 16 successful crosses into the penalty box so far this season, only Fulham's Antonee Robinson has more, with Slot also rumoured to be a fan of the USMNT defender.
