The festive season is one of the most entertaining and highly anticipated times of year for Premier League fans, as teams are put in the spotlight throughout the winter holidays.
Last season's lack of Boxing Day fixtures brought significant backlash from fans, who were left frustrated after being deprived of the usual full slate of matches on December 26.
That will change in 2026, as the Premier League makes a triumphant return to a full lineup of games on Boxing Day and December 27, buoyed by the fact that the holiday lands on a weekend this year.
The Sporting News brings you a roundup of the holiday fixture list in the Premier League this season, which was announced on September 10 to give teams more time to prepare.

Premier League Boxing Day fixtures
A year after the presence of just one lone Boxing Day fixture caused an uproar, the Premier League has returned to a full holiday slate on the day after Christmas.
It certainly helps that Boxing Day in 2026 is on a Saturday, allowing the Premier League to keep a semi-regular schedule while still filling out the holiday list.

| Sat, Dec. 26 | 10 a.m. | Ipswich Town vs. Brentford | Portman Road (Ipswich, England) |

Are there any Premier League games on Christmas?
No, there are no Premier League matches on Christmas Day in 2026.
There has never been a Premier League match on Christmas Day, since the league's inception in 1992.
The closest we've got is when Wolves hosted Chelsea in a rare Christmas Eve match in 2023, which the home side won 2-1.
The last time a top-flight league game in England was held on December 25 was back in 1965, when Blackpool beat Blackburn Rovers 4-2. As a popular seaside town, it was common for people to take a short Christmas vacation in Blackpool, so it made sense to stage a match while the area was packed with visitors looking for some holiday entertainment.
