Premier League Darts will take its show to Leeds this Thursday for night 14.
Luke Humphries will have his 'homecoming' moment playing in front of the Leeds crowd. Humphries is not from Leeds, but is a devoted Leeds United fan and walks out to the Kaiser Chiefs' 'I Predict a Riot', which the Leeds fans often sing at games.

Night 14 match predictions
There's a lot on the line with just three nights of action left before the play-offs at The O2 in London on Thursday, May 29.
Quarterfinal 1: Rob Cross vs. Gerwyn Price
Winner: Gerwyn Price
Price is looking to win his quarterfinal for the third straight week. He squeezed out a win over Humphries 6-5 last week and is looking to get back on the right track after a loss to Raymond van Barneveld this past weekend on the European Tour.
Quarterfinal 2: Nathan Aspinall vs. Luke Littler
Winner: Nathan Aspinall
Barring a disaster, Littler has pretty much locked up the top seed for the play-offs. Aspinall needs to scrape out every point he can get, as he goes into the week just one point behind fourth-placed Michael van Gerwen. MvG plays Humphries in his 'home week', and a loss for van Gerwen could give Aspinall a chance to leapfrog the Dutchman.
Quarterfinal 3: Michael van Gerwen vs. Luke Humphries
Winner: Luke Humphries
Michael van Gerwen is fresh off an appearance in the final in week 13, but the Leeds crowd behind Humphries should be enough to carry him over the line against 'Mighty Mike.' MvG's play has been erratic lately, with a title win just a couple of weeks ago at the German Darts Grand Prix, but this has been mixed in with a lot of early tournament exits. This should be a close contest, but Humphries is the favorite to advance and to gain two points to protect second place in the table.
Quarterfinal 4: Stephen Bunting vs. Chris Dobey
Winner: Stephen Bunting
It would take a miracle effort from Bunting to make it to The O2 at this point, sitting in 8th place with just eight points, 12 behind fourth place. Even though this year's campaign might be a lost cause for the 'Bullet', a win could go a long way as a confidence booster. Bunting hasn't picked up a win in the Premier League or European Tour since April 17th, but a struggling Dobey doesn't serve as a huge threat for the 2025 PDC World Championship semi-finalist.
Semifinal 1: Gerwyn Price vs. Nathan Aspinall
Winner: Nathan Aspinall
Something gives me the feeling that Aspinall will play high-quality darts in Leeds with what's on the line for him. He barely missed out on a spot on the final night in the 2024 Premier League, losing to Michael Smith to decide who got the last spot, and this will likely motivate him as he nears a similar situation almost 12 months later.
Semifinal 2: Luke Humphries vs. Stephen Bunting
Winner: Stephen Bunting
I think we will see another upset in this semi-final with Bunting sending the Leeds faithful home disappointed. Bunting has beaten the world number one a couple of times this calendar year, including a 7-6 win at the International Darts Open and on Premier League Night 9 when he won 6-2 en route to his first nightly win.
Final: Nathan Aspinall vs. Stephen Bunting:
Winner: Nathan Aspinall
Although Bunting holds a 2-1 record against Aspinall this year, I don't envision him beating 'The Asp' if Nathan can get to the final. Aspinall can come away with five big points in this scenario and possibly threaten Gerwyn Price for the third seed in the table going into the last two nights.
2025 Premier League Darts table (if the results above occur)
Player | Nights Won | Matches Won | Points |
Luke Littler | 5 | 21 | 35 |
Luke Humphries | 2 | 17 | 28 |
Gerwyn Price | 3 | 13 | 24 |
Nathan Aspinall | 2 | 14 | 24 |
Michael van Gerwen | 0 | 11 | 20 |
Rob Cross | 0 | 7 | 14 |
Chris Dobey | 1 | 7 | 12 |
Stephen Bunting | 1 | 7 | 11 |
Three storylines to watch during night 14
Humphries 'home return'
Humphries will have the support of Leeds behind him in a tough match against MVG, but will he be able to stay composed enough against a tough opponent who thrives in those types of environments?
Can Nathan Aspinall avoid mistakes against Littler?
Aspinall will need to play as close to a perfect game as against Littler who continues to be phenomenal and shows few flaws in his game.
Will Gerwyn Price start the night with key points and hit doubles at a high rate?
With the chance of Price's positioning being threatened, can he stay composed and rebound off his loss to van Barneveld this past weekend?
