It was all Predators on Friday at Ball Arena with 34-year-old Ryan O'Reilly delivering an elite performance as his seventh career hat trick, finishing with four points to power the Predators' win over Colorado. Filip Forsberg added a goal and two assists, while Steven Stamkos and Michael Bunting each chipped in multi-point nights as the Predators continued a win-streak to reach three games.

The Avalanche scored two goals from Brock Nelson and a late goal from Martin Necas, giving fans a glimmer of hope for a comeback. However, those hopes quickly faded. Returning to the lineup for Colorado after an injury layoff, Mackenzie Blackwood made 23 saves in his first game back since December 31, having been sidelined due to a lower-body injury.

The Predators will continue their road stretch, traveling to Vegas for a short turnaround on Saturday night, while the Capitals will come into town for the Avalanche as they look to regroup and restore their home-win streak.
