Potential Arch Manning replacement at Texas is top Florida HS QB and son of longtime NBA player

Who will come after Arch Manning for the Texas Longhorns? It's a question that needs to be answered, though not now. He's set to be the full-time starter for the first time this year and is going to be tasked with winning them a national title.

After that, he could be off to the NFL. Even if he isn't going after this year, which would be a stunner, his future with the Longhorns is not exactly lengthy. However, the team has already been recruiting, and they may have found his replacement in the top Florida high schooler and the son of a longtime NBA standout.

Kendall Webb reported that Dia Bell from Heritage High School is the top QB in the class and has long been committed to Texas. He's been on board since June 17, 2024, and even with more than 40 other offers, it doesn't look like he's going to flip. His social media has celebrations of Longhorn recruits all over it.

He even shared his official commitment to his account. There's no such thing, but Bell is the closest thing to a guarantee in recruiting, and he's a big win for the Longhorns who needed to find someone to replace Manning in the future. Bell also happens to come from a notable sports family since he's the son of Raja Bell.

The NBA player was a two-time All-NBA Defensive Team member. He averaged 9.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 12 seasons. So while the Bells aren't the sports family the Mannings are, the Longhorns will be in good hands once Manning heads off to the NFL.
