Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the rose 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:), which rose 3.08% or 0.34 points to trade at 11.37 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:) added 2.16% or 0.07 points to end at 3.50 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 1.92% or 0.05 points to 2.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 2.42% or 0.44 points to trade at 17.77 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) declined 0.49% or 0.04 points to end at 8.17 and Semapa (ELI:) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 14.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.49% or 1.08 to $71.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.72% or 1.18 to hit $67.52 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 5.70 to trade at $2,567.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.53% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 106.53.
