The Pittsburgh Pirates have been officially eliminated from playoff contention after losing to the Chicago Cubs 4-0 on Monday night. Pittsburgh has a 65-86 record this season and they are in last place in the National League Central.
The Pirates are just 1-9 in there last 10 games. Pittsburgh missing the playoffs once again is frustrating for this organization and also this fanbase. There are going to be many questions about what to do this offseason. The Pirates have not been in the postseason since the 2015 season where they won 98 games. Pittsburgh fans are begging for those winning days to return.
Pittsburgh Pirates Fans Frustrated with Another Missed Playoff Season
The Pirates have been one of the saddest franchises over the last five decades in all of baseball. They have only been to the playoffs three times in the last 33 seasons. The last time Pittsburgh has won a playoff series was when they won the World Series in 1979 against the Baltimore Orioles.

Baseball is a great sport, but MLB kills it.
A lot of Pirates fans are begging owner Bob Nutting to sell the team. There is a chance that Pittsburgh can very well fire general manager Ben Cherington at the end of the season. There is also a chance that the Pirates may search for a new manager next season as well.
Derek Shelton was fired as Pirates manager and Don Kelly took over. This offseason, Pittsburgh needs to hire a general manager who will make trades and spend money in order to put a very good team around starting pitcher Paul Skenes.
