Oneil Cruz hits the ball harder than anyone in baseball history.
Now we can't know that for sure, because the Statcast era only goes back to 2015, and because Steroid-bound sluggers may have had something to say about it.
But in this era, when we can measure things more exactly than ever before, the Pirates superstar is unmatched.
And on Sunday, Cruz broke his own record.
The switch-hitter, batting left, turned on a pitch and drilled an absolute laser beyond the right-field fence and right into the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh.
Off the bat: 122.9 miles per hour.
That broke the previous Statcast-era exit velocity record, also held by Cruz, of 122.4mph.

Cruz is a bit streaky, with some swing and miss in his game. But he's got one of the most impressive raw combinations of power and speed that baseball has ever seen.
This is just the latest example. Don't blink, because the baseballs that Cruz hits might be past you in a flash.
