The Philadelphia Phillies may have found a gem after the MLB Draft.
In undrafted free agency, they signed Nate Humphreys, according to D1Baseball.com.
Humphreys is lefty-swinging outfielder out of Dallas Baptist. This past season, he batted a ridiculous .353 with 17 homers and 69 RBI.
He had an interestingly up-and-down college career. He batted .212 as a freshman, .351 as a sophomore, .216 as a junior and then the .353 as a senior.
In all, Humphreys hit 39 college homers.

He had a bumpy summer on the Cape with Falmouth in 2023, finishing with a .640 OPS.
Humphreys made all his starts the past two seasons for Dallas Baptist in centerfield, which is promising for his long-term defensive chances.
His speed showed on the basepaths, too. This season, he stole 21 of 25 attempts.
Now, he'll try to climb the Phillies ladder.
