Kyle Schwarber may not be a Philadelphia Phillies slugger for too much longer.
With his free agency on deck this offseason, Schwarber's future is a natural question.
In a new piece by The Philadelphia Enquirer's Scott Lauber this week, it's revealed who Schwarber might want to play for if he leaves Philly.
“Being a baseball fan and growing up and watching Cincinnati baseball for your whole youth, that’s how you fall in love with baseball, I think it would draw your attention, right?” Schwarber said. “Being able to play for your childhood team is something that I think it’d be awesome.”
Schwarber is a native of Middletown, Ohio, where he was a baseball and football star before going to play for the Indiana Hoosiers.
Lauber's story also shared that Schwarber wouldn't mind staying in Philadelphia, either.
“Obviously, there’s interest on my side, and I know that there’s going to be interest on their side," Schwarber said. "At the end of the year, we’re going to see where that takes us, and if that’s us striking up a deal, it’s striking up a deal.”

The hero of the All-Star Game's home run tiebreaker, Schwarber is currently hitting .247 with 30 home runs for the Phillies this season.
The Reds would definitely love to have him, but Philly would also probably hate to lose him. It'll be something to watch when the offseason rolls around.
