Phillies get hefty prediction on $151M award winner who no fan should want

When there's smoke, there's typically fire, and one of the players the Philadelphia Phillies could be interested in continues to pop up in a lot of trade rumors.

One of them is Matt Chapman, a third baseman who has been one of the best in Major League Baseball for a lot of his career.

Unfortunately, Chapman has recently started to slow down, and as a result, there are certainly questions about what his future looks like with the San Francisco Giants. The Phillies need a third baseman, however, or at least an offensive player who can come in and make an impact for them, which is why the two sides have been linked together a few times now.

However, one writer doesn't believe the Phillies will have a chance to land him because his potential no-trade clause is an issue.

“That's unfortunate because if Chapman is not willing to waive his no-trade clause unless it is to a west coast team, that takes away some of the team's that make the most sense on paper as trade partners like the New York Yankees o Philadelphia Phillies,” Nick San Miguel wrote.

To be completely honest, even if the Phillies are interested in Chapman, I hope he stops the deal and says that he doesn't want to play in Philadelphia.

To me, this would be a worst-case-scenario type of addition, as he's truly not the player that Philadelphia needs right now. I get the appeal because of his name, but this is not a guy I'd want in Philadelphia if I were the Phillies.
