The Philadelphia Phillies have the best record in the National League. At 32-18, they lead the NL East by two games over the New York Mets.
The team is firing on almost all cylinders, but there is one area of concern.
The bullpen has been struggling this season. Such was the case even before left-hander Jose Alvarado was lost due to an 80-game PED suspension.
Tim Kelly of Bleacher Report believes a reunion with right-hander David Robertson is possible.
"There's little questioning the legitimacy of this report. Frankly, even before losing Alvarado, the Phillies probably needed some bullpen reinforcements. Now that they have lost their top bullpen arm, it makes sense that they reached out to Robertson, who represents himself," Kelly wrote.

Robertson has had a solid career. He owns a 2.91 ERA and 177 career saves. Last year, he posted a 3.00 ERA in 68 appearances with the Texas Rangers.
Somehow, Robertson was left unsigned, but he might have an easy fit in Philadelphia. He pitched with the Phillies briefly in 2019 and again in 2022 when they made their World Series run.
The 40-year-old right-hander was an All-Star with the New York Yankees back in 2011 and even helped them win their 2009 World Series title.
He also has closing experience, so that would be valuable to the Phillies, as they try to piece together their bullpen for the rest of the year.
We'll see if Robertson ultimately finds a home with his old team.
