Even without Joel Embiid and Paul George for majority of the season, the Philadelphia 76ers have managed to hold their ground. Tyrese Maxey has been the biggest difference maker, averaging 32.1 points and 8.3 assists per game, leading the team to a 7-4 start.

Detroit has been even more impressive, boasting the best record in the Eastern Conference with 10-2. That run includes an eight-game winning streak, with one of those victories coming against the 76ers.

Maxey led all scorers with 33 points on that night. However, Cade Cunningham’s 26 points and 11 assists, along with Jalen Duren’s 21-point, 16-rebound double-double, helped Detroit clinch a 111-108 win.
