Person with a cat allergy discovers the one meowraculous kitty to whom they're immune, adopts her immediately: ‘I’ve been allergic to cats since my teens, but I'm not allergic to her’

After a lifetime of being allergic to cats, avoiding cats, and generally keeping themselves at arm's length from any feline, this prospective pawrent was approached by sweet and adorable Edie, a farmhouse stray wandering around their parents' property. Although farm cats weren't an uncommon sight, this particular grey tabby cat was persuasive and friendly, but most importantly, didn't trigger even the slightest tickle in their nose. 

Shocked by their lack of allergies, and relishing the rash-free, sneezeless experience with an adorable feline, one person who was one anti-cat was now a bona fide cat lover. Welcome to the crew, OP, because once you find a feline that suits your lifestyle (or in this case, your general well-being), it's tough to ever let go. 

Cats have a way of drawing us in, and even when we can't believe it ourselves, it's the cats who decide who's to become their furrever family.
