After the Boston Celtics made the trade that sent Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers, a lot of people counted out Paul George. Considering he does not have a championship under his belt at 36, a lot of people are not fans of the move.

Despite losing a former Finals MVP, the Celtics are focused on building around Jayson Tatum. With George in the fold, they have a veteran who has a history of standing out, but it can be quite challenging. However, it seems he is excited to contribute and help the Celtics succeed.

Unfortunately for PG13, he does not have a good reputation right now after his struggles in recent years. There is still a brilliant player in there, but he is a bit older now, and he is not the same player he was once during his prime. However, he is still a tremendously talented player who will want to contribute.

The Celtics expect him to be a big-time contributor, as he will be the primary running mate to Tatum. It is a swap between him and Brown, who are some big shoes to fill. However, George seems excited and motivated to help the Celtics in their title pursuit.

George has not won a championship in his career, but he does have tremendous experience as a veteran. Since Tatum is the star player, George will firmly be in a supporting role, but it seems recent years have helped him settle into that role and be comfortable in it.

"It’s surreal. I’m ecstatic. I’m looking forward to the journey. I’m looking forward to wearing that green and representing for Boston," George said in his first visit to the Celtics' training facility.

It will be challenging to have that kind of role, but George is ready. While a lot of people are overlooking the Celtics, they still have a good team. They might surprise people, especially if George and Tatum form a fearsome partnership.
