New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye may only be 23, but recent efforts show that he is already proving himself to be one of the most important figures in the Massachusetts community.
Ahead of his third year in the NFL, the standout QB is launching his own nonprofit to extend community outreach with his wife — Ann Michael. March saw the announcement of the official launch of the MayeDay Family Foundation and its mission to provide children and families enduring hardship with assistance and support needed to achieve a brighter future. In the same announcement, the Mayes also announced an inaugural MayeDay Family Foundation Celebrity Softball Classic to fund their mission. The Celebrity Softball Classic is set to take place shortly at Polar Park, home of the Worcester Red Sox, on Sunday, May 31.
However, what makes the MayeDay Family Foundation Celebrity Softball Classic unique is something that has not been heavily reported — in addition to Patriots teammates who will be participating, other celebrities and professional athletes who will also be in attendance all have unique ties to the New England communities as well.
