Paige Bueckers' stats tonight match WNBA history made by Caitlin Clark in 2nd Wings game since UConn

Paige Bueckers rebounded from a tough first game in the WNBA to put up a Caitlin Clark-esque stat line in game number two.

The Wings took on the Seattle Storm on Monday night, and Bueckers filled the stat sheet.

Bueckers' final stats from the 79-71 defeat:

  • 19 points
  • 8 assists
  • 5 rebounds

The last rookie to reach those marks in a game was Clark last season. She did it 12 times, according to StatMamba.

She also shot 7-for-14 from the floor and added two steals and a block.

Bueckers hasn't found a way to get Dallas to a win in either of its first two games, but she's already hitting her groove a bit. The wins should soon follow.

It was a tough adjustment for Clark last season, too. She got off to a strong statistical start, but the Fever didn't start winning consistently until the second half of the season.

The UConn legend Bueckers will be hoping the same is true for her.

In the meantime, if she can put up other stats like Clark, Bueckers will feel she's doing just with that.
