Paige Bueckers gives a pointed response to big WNBA problem she's facing

Paige Bueckers is learning the ropes of the WNBA as she goes, just like any rookie should.

For Bueckers, this has meant with dealing with defensive strategies that include double-teaming her at any and all available opportunities — a strategy that makes sense, given her track record as an elite shooter, but something that will take Bueckers a while to adjust to since the collegiate game is very different from the professional one.

Bueckers addressed the double-teaming while speaking to reporters following the Wings' 79-71 loss to the Seattle Storm last night and expressed a lot of understanding.

"I mean it's probably smart just to get the ball out of my hands, and just trying to... adjust offensively on how to counteract a trap... and maybe less ball screens and screening," she said.

"But it's just something a different look that defenses are throwing at me, which is an adjustment. And so just continue to learn and work through that."
