The San Diego Padres found an under-the-radar outfielder as an undrafted free agent.
He's 6-foot-5, a former Orioles draft pick and has a sweet name: Qrey Lott.
He can also play ball.
Lott just played two seasons at Northwest Florida Junior College. He was the 2025 Panhandle Conference Player of the Year.
In two seasons, he had 12 homers, 21 steals and a .335 batting average in a top JuCo conference.
"Lott has an upright stance with a high handset and is a great runner for his size," Baseball America wrote in its draft preview. "It’s easy to dream of an athletic power-speed combination with Lott, who should profile best as a corner outfielder."

Lott was ranked as BA's No. 475 prospect in the draft, so it was a bit surprising to see him make it through the 20-round draft without being picked. He was picked by Baltimore in the 15th round out of high school, but he didn't sign then.
The Padres will gladly take the chance to bring him on board anyway and see what he can become.
