Packers vs. Eagles live score, updates, highlights from NFL wild-card playoff game

4 hours ago 1

With the 2025 NFL playoffs already underway, the Sunday afternoon slot during wild-card weekend will be highlighted by an NFC clash between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles.

As the No. 2 seed and NFC East champions, the Eagles come into this game as the favorite. On offense, a dominant run game led by Saquon Barkley perfectly complements a star-studded group of pass catchers highlighted by A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Last season, the Eagles were held back by the lack of a dominant defense, among other things. In 2025, the script has flipped. An injection of young talent and a few key free-agent signings have led to the Eagles holding the No. 1 overall defense and the No. 2 scoring defense.

It will be a tall order for Green Bay to go into Philadelphia and find a win, but Jordan Love and company are certainly up to the challenge. In just his second year as a starter, Love has continued to display the savvy and poise of a veteran. Coupled with a revamped and effective rushing attack thanks to the signing of Josh Jacobs, Green Bay is capable of playing slow, ball-control football that can allow them to upset "superior" teams.

It's supposed to be in the 30s during game time, so don't be surprised if both teams lean on their stud running backs and talented defensive units to carry them to victory. Even if this is a low-scoring game that's won in the trenches, there's plenty of talent on both sidelines that will make this game exciting.
