Fans don't necessarily get super excited about future fourth-round picks.
But the context when it comes to the Green Bay Packers' trade Monday morning of Rashan Gary to the Dallas Cowboys is crucial.
The Packers were going to cut Gary.
He had even posted a farewell message on his Instagram, which he then deleted with the claim that he had been hacked. An odd thing for a hacker to post, don't ya think?
Anyway, he's gone now. And the Packers did well.
Multiple reports indicated that Gary fetched the Packers a 2027 fourth-round pick in return from Dallas.

Gary has two years and $42 million remaining on his contract, and he was about to hit the open market, but Dallas wanted him for themselves, and so they made it happen.
It's not on the magnitude of the Micah Parsons trade, and that swap had picks moving in the opposite direction, but it's still intriguing.
There was obviously a reason the Packers didn't want to keep Gary, and so they found a taker that seemingly didn't actually have to exist if his cut was looming soon.
They've grown comfortable trading with the Cowboys, and apparently that came in handy here.
Deals like this often land a minimal pick swap. The Bills were going to cut former All-Pro nickelback Taron Johnson, but the Raiders got Johnson in a trade instead that sent a sixth-rounder to Buffalo in exchange for Johnson and a seventh-rounder.
In that context, this fourth-round pick straight up for Gary seems much different. The Packers did well for themselves.
