Dabang Delhi won a thrilling Qualifier 1 contest to storm into the final of Pro Kabaddi 2025. They beat Puneri Paltan 6-4 in the tie-breaker after the match was initially tied on Monday, October 26.

Head Coach Joginder Narwal reflected on their win. He expressed that it was the result of the hard work put in by the entire team. Joginder lauded all the players for their efforts. While he acknowledged that Puneri Paltan were a strong side, he stated that his team was no less.

"You know how strong their team is. But our team is also not any less. It was a good game. The boys have worked hard and it is a result of the same. All players are equal for me. It is not like Ashu has a different role if he is the captain. I carry all the players together. Everyone had done well and the credit goes to them," he said during the post-match press conference.

Dabang Delhi skipper Ashu Malik expressed that their only aim will be to win the title. They will face either Patna Pirates, Telugu Titans, or Puneri Paltan in the final.

"We play the final like how it should be played. It will be the last match of the season. So we will only aim to go towards the trophy and try to become champions."

Dabang Delhi have won the trophy previously in Season 8. Joginder Narwal was the captain of the team at that time. Four seasons later, he will aim to lift another title with them, this time as the Head Coach.

"We will definitely make the final" - Puneri Paltan Head Coach after defeat against Dabang Delhi

Puneri Paltan Head Coach Ajay Thakur rued the mistakes the team made towards the backend of the game. The Paltan had the lead but failed to hold on as Dabang Delhi made a comeback to take the match into the tie-breaker. He reflected that they will work on the errors.

Puneri Paltan have one more chance to make the final despite the defeat. They will now face either the Titans or the Pirates in Qualifier 2 on Wednesday, October 29. Ajay Thakur expressed that they will seal a spot in the title clash.

"This is how the matches should be. It was a very good game. We were in the lead and had almost won. In the last four to five minutes we gave away points and lost from there. We have lost all the games against Delhi by being unlucky towards the end. We are not able to figure out those final minutes, where we need to be calm we are showing more aggression there. We will work on this. We have another chance and we will definitely make the final," he said.

Puneri Paltan have also won the title once. The former champions will aim to push for their second trophy.
